R & D JUNIOR SCIENTIST/BEERSE, BELGIUM/6 MONTHS CONTRACT/UP TO 47 EUR PER HR
Performing research in assigned areas with a certain degree of independence and with the help of using existing and new methodologies according to applicable guidelines to develop medicines, determine their efficacy and safety, and compile the dossiers together for the registration of the medicine.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Conducting assigned scientific experiments and make recommendations with respect to the implementation of the scientific experiments
Developing and/or optimizing (new) methodologies with minimum supervision
Contributing to the creation and development of scientific experiments/projects in consultation with the project manager:
Plan the details of procedures and methods for the experiments independently to meet set targets
Carry out the scientific preparation and development of appropriate methods
Interpret, process and evaluate the results and consider the relevance and accuracy of the results.
Identify issues and actively look for suitable solutions.
Registering and reporting:
Register all the information obtained from the experiments according to existing methods
Summarize the data and interpret them
Assist in decision-making
Prepare technical and/or substantive reports and other documents for which data or results were registered
Prepare documents for external purposes
Write methodology and results sections of reports and documents intended for external and internal use
Review and write methods and new procedures
Ensure that the documents and basic information remain well preserved.
Contribute to the proper functioning of the laboratory
Ensure that the laboratory equipment is used correctly and well maintained, keep up with the maintenance and repair activities, keep logs and operating procedures
Order products and reagents via the system, if applicable.
