R&D Engineer

For our medical device client in Solothurn, we are looking ASAP for an R&D Engineer for a 6 month project. This is a temporary position until end of 2016 - with option for extension until end of 2017.

R&D Engineer:

* Sustaining Engineering In this position you will:
-Support and help driving process changes & production transfers from the R&D perspective and ensure all technical Documentation (DHF, Tech File) are updated and fulfil all regualtory requirements.

* Define and plan verification test setups and execute accordingly:
-Coordinate projects and reportings, do gap analysis and ensure proper communication amongst a multidisciplinary team
-Collaborate with the technical engineering office to drive Design/Document Changes 

* Support initiatives for improvements and modifications of existing implants and instrumentation:
- Information exchange and collaboration between internal, local, external and foreign partners is essential.
- Close cooperation with internal departments, domestic and international authorities as well as the conscientious preparation of the required documents ensures compliance with Medical Device Regulations (EU MDD, US FDA, JP PAL).

Technical skills:

. MS Office - good knowledge required Statistics Software (eg Minitab)
. Knowledge preferred CAD Creo/ProE
. Knowledge preferred PLM/SAP. Knowledge preferred Project Management - good knowledge required
. German and English fluent For this position we are looking for a team player with strong initiative. You will have earned a higher degree in engineering and would preferably have some practical experience in a regulated industry.
. You are self-motivated and take responsibility in your projects.
. You are a creative problem-solver with excellent communication skills and strong leadership ability. You should have a keen interest in the interrelations between medicine and technology and a strong desire to work in a global company.
. Ability to communicate in both spoken and written German and English is required.
