Quantity Surveyor

Tangent are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work a 3 month contract based in Raynesway.

Day to Day duties -
Timely agreement of monthly cost and value reports. Draft and review monthly project costs to complete. Compile monthly Management accounts and Project on a Page (POAP) reports.
Collate financial information for internal/external audits and general assistance with ad-hoc reports.
Procurement, management and administration of Subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
Regular review and update of Risk and Opportunity Registers.
Ensure WIP and Debtors are kept to a minimum.
Maximisation of sales/variations.
Control and expedite payments from the clients and maintain and keep up to date Contract files.
Keep Commercial Manager informed with respect to contract correspondence and prepare draft contractual letters where appropriate.
Monitor contract costs expenditure against earned values and promptly flag up any issues to the Project Management team with regard to the same.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications -
High level of proficiency in Microsoft excel.
A qualification in a field related to the post such as a QS Diploma is desirable but not essential.
Proven record of working on projects GBP100k to GBP10m
Experience and knowledge of working with different Forms of Contract.
High degree of commercial awareness.
