Quantity Surveying Technician - Stevenston, Ayrshire - 3 Months

* QUANTITY SURVEYING TECHNICIAN - STEVENSTON, AYRSHIRE - 3 MONTHS.*

Our AYRSHIRE based client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QUANTITY SURVEYING TECHNICIAN for an INITIAL 3 MONTH CONTRACT.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitor profitability targets for each business unit or work stream ensuring all work completed is charged/invoiced in full, and that all sub contract invoices are properly charged.
- Undertake monthly analysis of profitability and investigate any anomalies.
- Respond to information requests from Client/Client Agent to ensure that invoices are paid at the correct value and disputed accounts and subsequent credit requests are resolved within contract time targets; undertake weekly checks on the sidelined report on jobs that are under commitment value.
- Carry out weekly spot checks on operatives/individual profitability and complete checks on all elements of jobs which have impact on accuracy of costs, charging and profitability, eg. material use/waste.
- Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis to measure actual performance against target performance.
- Maintain and monitor an action plan to improve productivity with operational management.
- Prepare pricing estimates and quotations for all categories of building works
- Regularly review and monitor schedule of rates
- Undertake property surveys, reports and cost estimates for specific client purposes eg. timber and dampness, fire damage, insurance assessment.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

- HNC Construction Management or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Experience of managing workload to tight timescales
- Experience in use of IT systems and packages
- Experience of measured term contracts
- Experience or knowledge of estimating
- Experience of working with and dealing with contractors
