Quantitative Investment Analyst-Boston, MA

A leading global investment management firm in Boston is looking for an experienced investment analyst with a strong quantitative background to join a team of multi-asset portfolio managers.

In the role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing applications that support various aspects of the investment process. You will be expected to maintain the existing trading and risk management systems as well as develop and implement new platforms that will be used to conduct research and perform backtesting. Analysts must be familiar with portfolio construction techniques, as you will be required to use optimization and simulation analysis in order to establish the optimal construction methods for factor allocation and risk budgeting within a specific portfolio. Finally, you will be asked to report your research and design strategy to the rest of the multi asset team.

As you will be expected to contribute immediately to the team, candidates need to have experience with designing portfolio management and trading systems, ideally within a multi-asset setting. Candidates will also need to have strong communication skills and be able to thrive in both independent and team work settings.

Ideal candidates will have:

* Masters or PhD in computer science or math
* Experience developing financial models from large data sets
* Knowledge of VBA and MATLAB
* Familiarity with statistical methods and portfolio theory preferred
