Quant Risk Control - Basel area - Banking industry Our CLIENT Our client is an international bank that is looking to reinforce their Risk expertise. The bank is offering an excellent and challenging opportunity to assess and improve all methodology for the measurement of risk. At this time they are looking for a Quant Risk Control profile, who will be based in Basel. This candidate will be highly involved within the business and all the company activities, which requests a large understanding of risk and methodology. The ROLE You will belong to the Risk Control team and you will report to the Head of Risk, your main duties will be: - Develop and improve quantitative models for financial and operational risks - Model and Tool Validation - Risk capital measurement - Exposure across all risk types - Develop business applications to improve processes - Contribute to the improvement of IT systems and ensure the integrity of all data (risk, price and performance) - Production support and end user support - Develop stakeholder relationships in order to improve understanding of the impact of the projects - Large collaboration with IT service providers (Banking IT, IT System design, Risk control IT) The REQUESTED profile We are looking for a candidate having the following skills and expertise: - Master Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or with similar quantitative focus - 3-7 years experience in risk, treasury and/or quant risk in a banking environment - Fluent in English (mother tongue ideally), any other languages are a plus - C#, .net, WCF, WPF are desirable - Database programming Oracle, SQL - Able to support project management, strong coordination and communication skills - Independent, self starter, sense of initiatives, able to prioritize The OFFER This new role will give you the chance to have a broad function where you will have a strong impact on the business, IT, quant and risk oriented.
