Quality Manager

Our client, is currently seeking a Quality Manager to ensure the construction of topside and subsea oil and gas equipment meets European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and ATEX regulations. Qualified candidates must have 4+ years of experience with the EU PED and ATEX standards with oil and gas equipment. A BS in Engineering is highly desired but not required. This is a permanent position located in the Houston area and relocation assistance will be provided for qualified candidates. Local candidates interested solely in a long term contract will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure the construction of equipment and machinery meets EU PED and ATEX quality regulations.
- Assist in the procurement of appropriate equipment.
- Manage and perform company training as needed.
- Investigate incidents to determine root and underlying causes and implement corrective actions to prevent its reoccurrence.
- Liaise with customers and clients demonstrating robustness of company's dedication to quality and risk mitigation.

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous project experience on major offshore oil and gas developments.
- A working knowledge of offshore equipment (topsides and subsea) manufacturing.
- Recent experience working with EU regulatory requirements, in particular PED / CE and ATEX.
- Knowledge of UK HSE Safety Case requirements is a benefit but not essential.
- An engineering degree is not required, but would be a plus.
