Quality Manager

Progressive Global Energy are workin in partnership with a prestigious international service company in Aberdeen in sourcing an experienced and talented QA Manager.

THE ROLE:

The Facility Quality Manager is responsible for all aspects of quality management, including management of the QMS, all QA activities related to operational and project support , and all QC activities. The Facility Quality Manager reports to the Aberdeen Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Management representative for the Aberdeen quality management system

In conjunction with plant management, set Aberdeen's goals and objectives

Manage resource to ensure the quality management system is maintained & effective, and operational support, to ensure all products and services meet agreed quality requirements

Desired Skills & Experience

Degree qualified mechanical engineering or related subjects.

Alternatively, degree in quality management

IRCA Lead Auditor

5 years of experience in a management role

Mechanical engineering background

10 years experience in manufacturing industry in quality engineering or quality management

Cognizant of applicable industry standards, statutory legislation and company standards, such as API, 6A, 16A, 17D, SI 913, etc

Familiar with critical manufacturing processes employed by the company such as welding, material processing, testing, etc

Knowledgeable in Non-Destructive testing techniques

Proficient in the requirements for implementation of quality systems in accordance with recognised standards e.g. ISO 9000, API Q1, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001

Commercially astute

As part of the management team, provide direction through example, to all groups; commitment to the job, flexibility of working, positive attitude, continuous improvement, quality and HSE.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels; internally and externally.
