Quality Engineer needed for a Contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Carlsbad,CA

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Responsible for assuring products conform to established requirements and standards through appropriate audit, inspection, and test activities.
- Interacting with many different functional departments, suppliers, and experts outside the client to implement the client's Quality goals.
- Formulating procedures, specifications, and standards for client's products and processes.
- Developing and implements corrective/preventative action plans.
- Collecting and analyzes data for gauge and product evaluation.
- Identifying critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials needed for the completion of new products.
- Ensuring that suppliers have necessary information and facilities to deliver quality products to the client.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
* B.S. degree (engineering preferred) plus 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role. Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
* Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside of the department as well as outside the company (suppliers,regulatory agencies, etc.)
* .Ability to meet deadlines, manage changing priorities and strive for results.
* Ability to communicate both orally and in written form to multiple levels of the company.
* Demonstrates characteristics of high potential for future development opportunities.
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs
* Basic knowledge of metrology, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing,
* Quality System Regulations/standards (ISO 9001) and calibration methods/systems
