Quality Engineer Job

Yoh has a six (6) month contract position for a QUALITY ENGINEER to join our client in Kent, WA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform new product introduction activities related to qualifying parts from suppliers.
- Review part lists, structures and requirements.
- Produce PSWs (Part Submission Warrants) to specify PPAP requirements to suppliers.
- Track and report progress in preparing, auditing and recording PPAP status of parts and suppliers for a project.
- Review part quality requirements as specified by drawings and part descriptions in the MRP system.
- Interact with departments and suppliers to coordinate PPAP submissions and clarify requirements and results.
- Assist in first build, and report out processes including lessons learned.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and implement fixes to production issues on the line.

Job Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering.
- Five (5) years of experience.
- Knowledge of PPAP processes and requirements.
- Experience with hand measurement tool like micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other measuring equipment.
- New product introduction experience in commercial products.
- Knowledge of drawing systems and drafting practices.
- Machine Shop exposure and experience.
- Engineering software in 2D. (Pro E, Solidworks, AutoCad etc.).
- MRP systems background. Microsoft Office Outlook.
