TITLE: Quality Engineer
RATE: Negotiable (Euros)
LOCATION: Switzerland
TYPE: Contract
A Fantastic new role has just opened up at one of our leading Swiss based clients offering the successful candidate the opportunity to join a hard-working team working on exciting projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
The proposed start date is ASAP - We need YOU
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and review the implementation of the Contractor's approved Quality Management system at the site.
- Review of Contractor submitted Quality documentation to ensure suitability for project use and compliance with Client requirements.
- Monitor Contractor performance through Inspection attendance, Surveillance and Audit and raise Surveillance Reports, NCR's, Corrective and Preventive actions where necessary.
- Conduct Contractor Quality Audits as per project audit plan.
- Provide guidance and direction to Contractor quality personnel to ensure understanding and implementation of the Client quality requirements.
- Provide input to the Site Quality Manager regarding quality organization and staffing
- Review contractor inspection & test plans (ITPs) submitted as part of their contract requirements. Identify appropriate hold or witness points on ITPs.
- Conduct inspections and audits of Third party Inspection and testing providers.
- Assist with the resolution of quality related issues.
- Determine the need for inspection tools and equipment and ensure proper calibration parameters for these items.
- Coordinate with Contractor to initiate timely analysis and resolution of identified discrepancies.
- Contribute to the control of nonconforming work activities or hardware through the implementation of a nonconformance control procedure. Assist the Contractor with the identification of trends and determination of root cause so as to prevent recurrence
- Submit statistical information to site management for weekly or monthly reporting purposes
- Attend weekly meetings with contractors to go over any quality issues.
- Review Inspection and Testing results to verify compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure that documentation is being completed, signed off, and compiled as the work progresses so as to support turnover and record retention activities at the project site.
Requirements
- At least 6 years Construction industry experience
- Previous Construction Quality experience as a Quality Engineer or Inspector
- Previous Pharma experience would be desirable but not essential
- Auditor qualifications/training would be desirable
