Quality Engineer

OVERVIEW:

- Quality Engineer will coordinate and support various changes needed to cost reduction products targeted to achieve cost reduction goals while minimizing part and product level risk and exposure to the field.
- Work with my current QE team to evaluate the changes and the appropriate testing needed based on changes being implemented.
- Pull Legacy QTP (Qual test plans) so we request the lab to test to previously committed and qualified conditions/limits.
- Prepare and release a Qual test plan and allocation table for samples and test sequence (for both PMO planning to build and for submit to lab)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare Lab work request for submission to Gary/Lab to execute released Qual test plan (this also facilitates lab scheduling).
- Review test results and help distinguish (with ECRT) Legacy issues from those possibly caused by the changes being tested.
- Review and evaluate corrective actions/risks for issues or findings to facilitate decision making on the proposed change(s)

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4 year degree in engineering discipline, preferably mechanical.
- Prior experience with performing part level risk assessment around fabricated materials (pcb, flex, plastics, injection molded parts).
- Experience with qualification and environmental testing in accordance with industry standards, EN60529, MIL-STD-810, SAE level testing to evaluate part and product level qualification and reliability.
