Quality Engineer

Drive the implementation of quality controls and process variation reduction into product manufacture. From prototype build through to OE build.

Principal Accountabilities:

-Support the creation of the Quality Control Plan.
-Implement the manufacturing product and process controls in accordance with the Quality Control Plan
-Identify issues, facilitate investigations and audits, identifying root cause and applying and following up corrective actions.
-Perform product and process audits, identify non-compliances and facilitate effective and timely resolution of corrective actions.
-Perform FAIRs and verify supplier FAIRs across the MDS programmes
-Control customer returns and facilitate effective and timely resolution of concerns/corrective actions.
-Facilitate product and process improvement activities.
-Support the investigation and release of in-service product returned for repair and overhaul.
-Release signatory for the product.
-Control material disposition

Attributes:

-Proven experience in Quality or Production, ideally with a bias towards electronics.
-A working understanding of AS9100, Airworthiness and Aerospace regulatory requirements.
-Some auditing experience would be preferred. A good understanding and experience of applying both statistical and problem solving methods (Ie 8D, A3, etc) to drive to root cause and permanent corrective action.
-Computer literate.
-Good written and verbal communication skills to support and influence internal and external stakeholders as required.
-Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet commitments.
