Quality Engineer

QUALITY ENGINEER contract opportunity at a well respected manufacturing firm in the north of Milwaukee, WI suburb. Projected 12 month assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Direct, control and analyze technical aspects of the quality programs Printed Circuit Board Assembly and low voltage drives assemblies and will perform AS9100 and ISO9001 assessment audits
- Develop and implement quality and inspection plan and ISO requirements, as well as scheduling and coordinating quality audits
- Monitor quality of outgoing product; coordinating audits and following through on corrective action
- Support other departments in providing guidance to resolve quality issues
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality standards and protocols
- Direct Quality Assurance technicians and training manufacturing associates in quality-related topics
- Drive efforts to reduce rolled throughput yield loss (RTYL) with a focus on training, defect prevention and continuous improvements through the application and use of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools
- Coordinate with Customer Support to monitor customer feedback
- Develop and evaluate process capability studies, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits with the objective or improving process performance and capability

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Engineering either Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in manufacturing quality control and statistical techniques
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Need experience with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) processes and products
- Requires Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing processes
- Need experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions using the 8D methodology, FMEA's, cause and effect diagrams, process capability studies, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Design of Experiments and other analytical tools
- Experience creating, developing, and deploying AIAG PPAP elements (i.e. control plans) for production processes
- A PLUS to have SAP experience
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
