Quality Control (QC) Chemist Job

QC CHEMIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in East Windsor, NJ.

THE BIG PICTURE:

The QC Chemist will consults with the Group Leader, Project Manager, Analytical Development Chemist, and other departments to ensure that the testing of all raw materials, intermediates, API, stability cleaning, and final release samples are tested on or before scheduled deadlines.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Liaison with analytical development chemist, other departments, and client to verify timelines and reassure that methods and specifications are created and approved in a timely manner.
- Communicate well and cooperates well with others.
- Train staff on laboratory work, techniques, and instrumentation.
- Updates QC IOPs.
- Prepares protocols for equipment qualification and execution of qualification tests when applicable.
- Perform instrument calibrations on Balances, High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Gas Chromatography(GC).
- Carries out routine tasks, routine housekeeping related to the laboratory, and maintenance of analytical equipment.
- Maintains equipment, project, and general QC logbooks.
- Proposes changes for continuous improvement, either in safety, GMPs, or general QC efficiency.
- Communicates with management concerning all EHS issues and incidents, read posting of studies and ensure 100% attendance at all TTC monthly safety meetings.
- Conducts monthly GMP audits and weekly safety audits as delegated by QC Management.
- Seek and sustain familiarization with hazard assessment (as carried out by the EHS officer) before working on a new project.
- Meet KPIs to establish goals as defined by management

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Chemistry or a related field, seven (7) years experience necessary in a QC laboratory under GMP and also CMO (contract manufacturing organization).
- Position requires a working knowledge of analytical theory and techniques and familiarity with GMP procedures required for the laboratory work.
