Quality Control Analyst II, Microbiology Job

QUALITY CONTROL ANALYST II, MICROBIOLOGY needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HOLLY SPRINGS, NC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Primary responsibilities for this position include performing microbiological tasks associated with release testing and reviewing laboratory data.
- Testing may include bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, growth promotion testing, weekend rotational work, and laboratory stocking.
- The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the samples are collected, tested and reviewed according to quality requirements and results reported are valid, accurate and documented per applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Complies with policies and procedures in order to maintain compliance with legal regulations, health and safety, and regulatory requirements as written.
- Participates in lean lab operation, 6S laboratory layout, preventive action & continuous improvement programs to reduce operating costs
- Participates in cross-training to support staff availability within QC department
- Performs shift-work as necessary to support manufacturing operations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or related field.
- Three (3+) years of directly related laboratory experience OR equivalent.
- Knowledge of laboratory practices and instruments required.
- Knowledge of GMPs, safety regulations and data integrity.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with sterility testing preferred.
