Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

Yoh has a long-term contract opportunity for a QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) TESTER to join our client, a leading media company located in Foster City, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The position of QA Tester will be primarily responsible for testing various aspects of PlayStation® product hardware and firmware throughout various stages of development.
- Testing the functionality and usability of PlayStation® product hardware and firmware throughout various development phases.
- Testing the functionality of various game and video software libraries against pre-release firmware and hardware.
- Testing the functionality of various applications and multimedia files.
- Testing the functionality of various PlayStation® product operating systems.
- Detecting, researching, and reporting potential and verified issues.
- Utilizing established defect reporting formats and tracking systems.
- Utilizing basic to intermediate networking principles and online console gaming/functionality elements.
- Assist in other various tasks related to the QA process.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent English written and verbal skills.
- Good understanding of/experience with modern gaming consoles and associated software.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of online networking and how its principles and components apply to modern console gaming/functionality.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- At least one (1) years of previous QA experience in a related field.
- At least Associates degree or equivalent.
