Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer

Yoh has a three to six (3-6) month contract opportunity for a SOFTWARE TESTER to join our client, an online real estate company in Kirkland, WA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for testing of our Customer websites, CRM websites, and middle tier web services. Must be a self-motivated QA engineer who is passionate about quality in a fast paced, dynamic environment. They must be able to manage multiple and competing priorities and communicate effectively to the appropriate audience (PM, Development, QA). They are a team member who consistently demonstrates a good understanding of testing techniques with a focus on refining and developing core QA processes.
- Our SDLC and toolset is agile and highly collaborative with industry leading practices such as wiki documentation, issue tracking system and distributed version control systems. This position is great for a QA Engineer who desires to work in a commercial SAAS product environment and loves to learn.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Test our customer websites, CRM Websites and Middle Tier Web Services
- Manage multiple competing priorities
- Refine and develop Core QA processes
- Create and maintain testing related documentation
- Work in a commercial SAAS product environment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Our client requires technical experience in any one of the following technology stacks
- PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML on LAMP stack
- .NET C# Web and Windows Services and SQL Server
- Java Tomcat development with Maven (Windows or LAMP)
- Three to five (3-5) years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or testing with demonstrated ability in the following areas:
- Create test cases for assigned projects
- Create test plans and conduct test plan reviews with project team
- Execute manual tests and document results
- Identify, analyze, and document defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers
- Experience with SQL queries
- Proactively communicate to management and/or Sr. QA Engineers any variances to project tasks well in advance
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Use of SQL Server client tools desirable (ie Profiler, SQL Management)
- Mobile devices testing
- Middle tier web services testing (SOAP, JSON, REST)
