Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER to join our client in San Ramon, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executing formal Test Plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications by performing White and Grey Box testing.
- Define testing scope and produce Test Plan for assigned component/feature if needed.
- Create Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
- Develop (code) Test Cases.
- Automate Test Cases.
- API testing.
- Generate bug reports and analyze its root cause.
- Debug in multiple Test Frameworks.
- Run defects forensics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Selenium.
- Unit framework experience.
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
- White Box testing: Strong Java experience to be leveraged in QA environment.
- A Development background or analogous experience with a deep understanding, implementation and execution of White and Grey Box tests (manually and using automating tools) for Functional, Load/Performance/Stress, and System and Integration test coverage.
- Ability to write Java code.
- Strong knowledge of Java, OSGI, Spring, XML, SQL, Oracle and Shell Scripting.
- Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST, Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.).
- Experience with Maven and Eclipse.
- Linux/UNIX environment Management and Development experience required.
- Ability to define testing scope and produce Test Plan for assigned component/feature if needed.
- Ability to write Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
- Ability to develop (code) Test Cases.
- Ability to automate Test Cases.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- HP Quality Center; Jira; VMware.
- Must be able to work closely with Development, Product Management, Design, Support, and other key stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile development best practices.
- Excellent communication and analytic skills.
- Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to quickly embrace and understand new technologies.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics.
