QUALITY ANALYST for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NORRISTOWN, PA

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Execute and document test approaches, plans and scenarios in Quality Management
- Work closely with designers,developers, and business SME's deliver Quality Projects
- Support continuous improvement of team quality management practices
- Defect management
- Continuous integration testing
- Integration testing and automation

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Implementing test approaches and test plans to test application enhancements and changes against documented business requirements and user stories, in a manner which results in a high quality solution meeting the functional and non-functional requirements of the user base.
- Execute and document test approach, test plans, and scenarios, aligned with Quality Management processes
- Work closely with designers, developers, and business SMEs to effectively assure delivery of a quality project
- Support continuous improvement of team quality management practices, such as defect management, continuous integration, integration testing, and testing automation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Seven (7+) years of experience as a quality assurance analyst or tester
- Strong customer and business focus
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with user-centered design and usability testing
- Experience with HP Quality Center
- Understanding of Oracle RDMS and SQL
- Experience with test driven or behavior driven development practices
- Someone who is energetic and passionate about their work, extremely positive and solution driven
- Someone who has worked on large teams, on projects that have different business owners
- Experience in defining test strategy/approach, test cases
- Strong experience in the testing phase with business personnel, developers and management
- Excellent knowledge of testing methodology (white vs. Black Box testing, function vs. path testing).
- Experience developing testing artifacts, such as test plans and test cases
- Experience working in multiple Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Facility with the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Experience in a SOA/Web Services environment
- Experience using iterative development methodologies, specifically SCRUM
- Experience using HP Quality Center or equivalent test management solutions
- Experience using with defect tracking tools - HP QC preferred
- Experience working hands on with databases - ability to write queries
- Experience documenting software designs
- Experience using automated testing tools - HP QTP, SOAPUI
- Scripting experience using applicable languages (such as PL/SQL, VB, UNIX Shell,
- JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, HTML, DHTML, SOAP, XML, JCL, CICS)
- Experience developing logical data models
- Experience as a software developer or architect
- Experience designing complex technical applications
