Qualified Social Worker - Child Assessment Team

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker / Senior Social Worker to work within a local authority Assessment And Intervention Team based in Essex.

JOB ROLE

Dealing with all referrals, the team conduct initial assessments and section 47 Child Protection investigations. The team initiate care proceedings and are responsible for the initial care planning of children when they first become looked after. You will be holding open cases of on-going family support and children subject to a child protection plan.
Your role is to manage a caseload of service users requiring assessment of their needs, carry out Initial and core assessments and investigations and co-ordinating support packages as necessary. Under the general supervision of a senior practitioner or team manager, to deliver an effective social work service to children and families, which is informed by current research, legislation and policy.

This great opportunity has a long term contract with the strong possibility of an even longer extension. There is also an excellent rate of pay and flexible working hours.

For this position you must have:
*a degree or masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
*HCPC registration
