Qualified Actuary

On behalf of hyphens Insurance client I am looking to recruit a Qualified Actuary to be based in London for an initial period of 6 months.

Purpose of the role:
Deliver a range of complex technical tasks, models, advice and guidance as specified in personal objectives. To be accountable for the technical accuracy of outputs and to provide technical coaching and guidance to less experienced team members as required.

Experience and knowledge:
*Experience of coaching and guiding more junior team members
*Experience of constructively challenging and influencing a range of peers and stakeholders primarily within Actuarial
*Experience of drawing conclusions from complex data sources
*Experience of financial reporting and actuarial modelling for a life assurance company
*Experience of communicating complex problems and issues effectively and succinctly to a variety of peers and managers
*Working knowledge of the financial dynamics of the business and how key factors influence the various financial measures
*Recently or newly qualified actuary, a Fellow of the Faculty or Institute of Actuaries that follows the Continued Professional Development requirements
*Detailed knowledge of actuarial professional standards and codes
*Detailed knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to the UK business
*Detailed knowledge of analytical techniques and the ability to apply these to practical situations
*To connect with different stakeholders
