Qualified Accountant & Internal Controls Manager

A leading financial services organisation in central London is looking to recruit an experience Accountant with a recent background in internal audit, operational risk, compliance and controls. The successful Qualified Accountant & Financial Controls Manager will have recent retail banking or wholesale banking experience, strong internal controls knowledge and a working knowledge of SOX within banking.

Main responsibilities of the role as follows;

- Accruals & Prepayments Analysis
- Balance sheet attestation
- Financial Prudence reporting
- Representation at Divisional Finance Meetings
- Balance Sheet Quality Reviews
- Monthly Journal Testing
- Quarterly Control Effectiveness Reporting
- Quarterly asset verification for SOX
- Key contact with PWC on any audit issues or testing required.
- IT Finance Representative on new Finance Control Framework

Experience should include;

- Background in finance controls & compliance
- SOX experience
- 5 years Post Qualified, self starter

Location: London

Daily rate: £400 - £500 per day. In exceptional circumstances this rate is flexible.
