QC Analyst II - Biochemistry/Virology Job

QC ANALYST II - BIOCHEMISTRY/VIROLOGY needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HOLLY SPRINGS, NC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prepare culture media, chemicals, reagents and solutions
- Maintain sufficient inventory of material, supplies, and equipment for performance of duties; clean and maintain complex laboratory equipment
- Participate/lead development of bioanalytical methods
- Develop expertise in assigned assays/techniques
- Participate in executing method validation and verification activities
- Makes detailed observations carries out elementary data analysis
- Understands experiments and conducts troubleshooting analysis
- Maintains and updates knowledge of instrumentation
- Notebook upkeep and writing skills
- Write and update standard test methods and standard operating procedures, as needed.
- Maintain compliance with applicable cGMP requirements
- Participate in cross-training to support staff availability within QC department
- Actively involve in day-to-day improvement of procedures/documentation and be a team player to reduce laboratory errors
- Maintain compliance with legal regulations on occupational safety and health, particularly with regard to hazardous materials.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or other closely related scientific field
- Experience with a minimum of four of the following lab techniques: SDS-PAGE, spectrophotometry, ELISA, flow cytometry, tissue culture, RT-PCR, Western Blot.
- Experience with Method Development and Validation Methods.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of ICH Guidelines and USP/EP Compendia.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of virology is a plus.
- Experience working in a GxP environment preferred
