Summary:
This is a long-term contract opportunity for a QA Tester. The job requires strong working knowledge of the testing methodologies in regards to performance and load testing. We are seeking someone who understands large-scale systems (Terabytes vs. Gigabytes) and what the system will do when a lot of data is introduced. In this role you will do front and Back End performance testing, and help to assess the overall speed and capacity of its enterprise-level systems. Our client has recently created an architectural roadmap, and is building a new performance team. They are looking to add a solid Tester, with a good base knowledge, that has worked in a performance environment with their focus on performance. You must have strong Scripting experience as it relates to performance and load testing. The technical environment consists of Oracle 10g, 11g and SQL. Your experience should include working with LoadRunner or other similar products, but you will be using their own in-house tool. Our client is a global leader in the energy management industry and has their North America headquarters here in Alpharetta. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Consultant will be responsible for writing, executing, and reporting performance changes

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated experience working as a tester in a performance environment
- Must have previous experience with software installs and the set-up of test environments
- Must have a good understanding of system architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant Engineering field.
- 5 years of experience testing web, UI, database and Client Server applications on multiple platforms.
- Strong working experience with Oracle (PL/SQL)
- Strong experience working with Windows Servers
- Must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
