QA (Quality Assurance) Analyst - Market Data

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) ANALYST to join our client in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Job Overview:
A QA Analyst is needed to test the market data web services and related web applications. We are looking for candidates with strong manual testing experience with emphasis on market data and database testing. The Candidate should have automated their manual testing. Also the Candidate must be able to work independently and possess effective time management skills and can thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the project team to produce a high quality release.
- Working with other members of the test team to facilitate end-to-end testing.
- Working with development partners.
- Providing test status reports to project team.
- Reviewing requirements, business and system use cases, technical specifications and other project documentation.
- Writing test cases to verify requirements.
- Providing test estimates.
- Writing and maintaining regression test cases.
- Writing test plans.
- Recording details of test executions.
- Manual execution of test scripts.
- Writing and tracking defects and verifying defect resolution.
- Creation and maintenance of automated test scripts.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science with minimum of three plus (3+) years of experience in software testing.
- Experience testing Market data, web-based software products and Back End applications.
- Experience in database and web services testing.
- Experience with a Real Time market data application (Reuters Trader, Thomson One, and Bloomberg).
- Experience with any of the automation tools like QTP or RFT or any open source tool.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong process skills; knowledge of software development life cycle.
- Understanding of Financial Markets: equities, Fixed Income, derivatives, and commodities.
- Comfortable interacting and communicating with people at various levels within the organization.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in writing test scripts using automated testing tools such as HP QTP or Rational or any Open source tools.
