QA Laboratory Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Carr's Hutchisons Mill in Kirkcaldy, part of Carr's Flour Mills Ltd, with an established reputation for quality and service within the Scottish Flour market, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within our Quality Department as part of the QA Team.

The main duties will include;
Routine analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products.
Maintaining records and producing quality reports.
Investigating and resolving quality issues.
Assisting in ensuring compliance with appropriate elements of the Quality System.
Providing assistance with Hygiene, HACCP and Internal audit programmes.

The preferred candidate for this temporary position should hold as a minimum Standard Grades or equivalent in English, Maths and Science. Although previous experience of quality systems and knowledge of HACCP in a food manufacturing environment would be advantageous, this is not essential as full training will be given.
