QA Consultant

1.1. NATURE OF THE TASKS

Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:

-Elaboration and maintenance of IS quality control procedures
-Provision of quality plans and service level agreements,
-IS Quality control and evaluation
-Provision of quality studies, quality assessments or other quality matters associated with information system projects
-Definition, elaboration and management of quality test plans and test cases focused on customer goals
-Advice on quality improvements
-Assistance in the implementation of project management methodology (Agile and/or RUP)
-Risk analysis

1.2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

-In-depth knowledge of IS quality assurance and quality control
-Ability to coordinate a team performing Quality/testing activities
-In-depth experience with quality procedures
-Good knowledge of testing methodologies and tools
-Good knowledge of information systems life cycle
-Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg Agile, RUP)
-Ability to write test strategies, test plans, test cases, focus on customer goals
-Initiative to work with others/propose solutions to speed up quality goals
-Senior experience in WebDriver FAT (functional automated tool)
-Ability to develop and/or understand automated tests in existing test framework using in Java/JavaScript/JSON files
-Knowledge of SQL queries
-Working knowledge of Atlassian stack (eg Jira, Confluence)
-High level understanding of web application architecture and domain- driven designs
-Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation, candidates should also have the following non- technical skills:
-Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
-Ability to understand, speak and write English
-Ability to work in a team
-Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method and more specifically, to follow naming conventions and coding standards
-Ability to apply high quality standards
-Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project

1.3. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 8 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum 13 years of IT professional experience
- Strong experience in IT Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Proven experience with quality procedures (eg ISO 10006:2003)
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards
- Knowledge of testing standards (eg ISO 17015), methodologies and tools

1.4. SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

Minimum a total of 9 years in one or more of the following areas: Quality Assurance, Quality Control, testing methodologies or tools, or with quality standards

- WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

The work will be carried on the premises in Brussels;

- The methodology used for development is based on Agile and/or RUP;
- The tools used for testing are JMeter, SOAPUI, Selenim, TOAD/SQL developer, WebDriver FAT;
- The technical environment is based on Oracle 11g and Weblogic 11 (or higher);
- Internet Explorer 9 (or higher) and Firefox are the web browsers;
- All documents must be written in MS Word 2010 (or higher).
