Python Developer - Zurich - 6 Months

My client in Zurich is currently looking for a strong Python Developer to work with their team for 6 months initially. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work independently, while coordinating with the team leader to ensure the project runs smoothly.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Strong application development experience
- Excellent knowledge of Python
- Familiarity with Python extensions for distributed and scientific computing - numpy, pandas, etc.
- Experience developing Web front ends using JavaScript, Typescript, CSS and React, among others
- Knowledge of version control practices and procedures
- Experience with Anaconda hosting, Jupyter and PhosphorJS is beneficial
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong grasp of modern software development processes and continuous everything
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
- Knowledge of C++, Fortran, OpenMP, and MPI desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, Zoomtext), and some experience incorporating these into your day-to-day work
- Agile/Kanban experience
