Python Developer (m/w)

Harvey Nash are a global Professional Services provider in the areas of Technology and Engineering Recruitment and Outsourcing. For our client, a global Telecommuniactions company in Munich we are currently looking for a Python Developer to join on the basis of a long-term freelance relationship. (m/w) (w/m)

PROJECT DURATION:6 Months+

LOCATION: Munich

KNOW-HOW:

-Our client are automating many aspects of their workflow; that means building apps that talk to existing systems (proprietary as well as open-source) via a variety of mechanisms
-They use Python for our apps, and while we understand that a good programmer can pick up any language, the ability to hit the ground running on Python will be an advantage.RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
- Design robust, scalable and secure features
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
-Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, code standards)REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 years of software development experience
- Expert knowledge of Python, preferably v3
- Good knowledge of API technologies, such as WSDL and transport mechanisms as HTTP
- Experience working on a Unix/Linux environment
- Experience working with version control systems, such as Git
- Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
-Knowledge of relational databases and data structures
-Self-directed, self-motivated, and at home in an ever-changing environment

LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE:

- Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
- German knowledge would be beneficial
