Purchasing Supervisor

*MUST HAVE SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS experience*

DUTIES:

- Will assist purchasing/buyers with completing the buying process
- Must be able to clear NCR (nonconformances or REJECTS in the system)
- Clearing up invoices
- Closing out invoices
- Creating Requisitions
- A great deal of troubleshooting required - must know enough about supply chain sourcing to know what to do in situations
- Support Buyer/Sourcing team as needed in the process
- May do some following up on order status (expediting) but should focus on sourcing/buying/purchasing Supply Chain experience and not expediters.
- 1st shift role 7 am or 8 am start (candidate can choose)
- Should not be SO EXPERIENCED that would not be good in a supporting, junior role on the team

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2+ years Supply Chain Sourcing/Jr. Buyer experience (not just expediting)- preferably in high volume manufacturing industry or Oil & Gas
- No Degree required with good experience

REQUIRED:

- Experience with JD Edwards System
- Highly skilled in EXCEL
- Will interface via phone with external and internal clients - requires professional demeanor
- Must have excellent follow through, organization and ability to multitask
- Requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in MS Office

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function.
- Oversees the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors.
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- Typically reports to the Purchasing Manager
