JOB TITLE: Purchasing Assistant

LOCATION: Bolton

HOURS: part time: 20 to 25 hours a week over 5 days or 2.5 days a week

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

- Potentially a 3 month role to provide purchasing support for Summer IT installations in our Education Establishments.
- There is a distinct possibility of this role going permanent after the 3 months busy period.

DUTIES AND   RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You will be required to liaise with Sales, Operations and Finance to ensure the required goods are ordered and   delivered efficiently
- Chase suppliers for delivery dates
- Chase missing items
- Place orders effectively and efficiently
- Pay attention to the purchase orders details to reduce mistakes
- Provide an effective and accurate administration service ensuring purchase orders are processed within   guidelines and time constraints.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/  KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

-   Would suit a strong administrator with a good understanding of the purchasing process
-   Previous experience within a purchasing or buying role would be advantageous
-   Strong, proven administration skills essential
-   Previous experience in an IT environment an advantage
