Prototype Developer Job

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, Missouri.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
- Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
- Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components.
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Requires 10-15 years of previous experience
- The ideal candidate for this role must demonstrate strong UI visual and interaction design and development skills and the ability to collaborate with various team members to produce intuitive business solutions.
- The Prototype Developer will utilize their technical understanding of application

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view incorporating these in future projects
- Interpret provided graphic, visual, and interaction designs in HTML, CSS, and Javascript & jQuery
- Amazon cloud deployments of prototypes
- Represent the USIT Team professionally in collaborative environments throughout Monsanto
- Update and collaborate with USIT development, test and analyst teams
- Work with business process engineers in the analysis, design and development of enterprise-class software
- Work with department and enterprise architecture teams to define application architectures and designs that result in efficient business systems and integrate seamlessly with other enterprise systems
- Provide estimation of deliverables, design and develop software

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluency in interactive web technologies (HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery and AJAX) and functional language of Scala, industry trends, and experience designing applications leveraging these trends
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing complex, enterprise-level mobile and web applications with Bootstrap, Foundation, or other adaptive web frameworks
- Understanding of user-centered design and human computer interaction methodologies
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills t handle multiple diverse projects simultaneously
- Minimum of 3-5 years software development experience with Full Stack experience in or functional programming frameworks
- The demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies as needed
- Proficient with the following:
- Spray/Play frameworks
- Refactoring
- developing multi-tier applications
- Object-Oriented methodologies
- high level GO4 design patterns (above and beyond J2EE patterns)
- Spring framework
- Amazon Web Services
- Hibernate

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Experience with Maven
- Experience with SVN
- Experience with Amazon Web Services

- Exposure to, or experience working in, an Agile development/continuous integration environment
- Master's degree in computer science or a related field
