Propulsion Engineer Job

PROPULSION ENGINEERS are needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in EVERETT, WA.

The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Leads definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Leads definition, coordination and control of the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
- Leads development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Leads configuration and design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria. Leads the use of various testing, analysis, modelling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
- Leads the definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
- Leads support of fielded systems by developing responses to customer queries and providing technical recommendations.
- Leads development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.
- Works under minimal direction.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- FUELS DESIGN AND/OR ANALYSIS REQUIRED.
- NEED to have knowledge of fuel design concepts and techniques as well as knowledge of skills fuel system design (CAD), fault tree analysis, etc.
- Knowledge of propulsion fuel system components, interfaces and their design integration.
- Bachelor's degree and typically nine (9) or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically seven (7) or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically four (4) or more years' experience.
