Property Acquisition Manager

Spring Technology are looking for a Property Acquisition Manager for our public sector client based in Birmingham.

Key Tasks:
1. Manage a portfolio of acquisition cases.

2. Follow good case management practice by:
* Reviewing all cases every three months
* Attending regular case reviews
* Ensuring that all new cases and new parts to existing cases meet correct electronic filing standards

3. Manage suppliers by:
* Ensuring that an outline business plan for each case is provided (including key issues, budgets and timeframe for case closure) and progress updates from surveyors are received every six months
* Ensuring that no lands cost estimate is more than six months old
* Instructing solicitors and replying to all correspondence within 10 working days or sooner dependent upon the media used
* Attending regular supplier meetings

4. Maintain currency and accuracy of the Lands database and team caseload spreadsheet by, for example:
* Placing surveyors' final reports on the system within 3 working days of receipt
* Ensuring all payments are logged on Lands and financial queries resolved promptly

5. Meet Business Plan measures by:
* Compiling draft background notes and written first drafts to all MSU, CEO, FOI and TO correspondence within the appropriate timescales submitting drafts no later than 5 working days before the official deadline to the Business Manager
* Making at least 98% of payments on time under our Prompt Payment Initiative.

7. Ensure that Case Completion process is undertaken by:
* Monthly liaison with solicitors on cases nearing completion whilst ensuring that a surplus declaration is provided by the relevant Project Manager
