PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER - ACUTE - NHS - TRANSFORMATION

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Manager, this role is one of a team of Project Support Officers(PSO) which is responsible for supporting programme and projects leads within the Trust for the delivery of specific corporate change and cost improvement programmes.

DUTIES

- To service the relevant Programme Boards within BaSF
- To support both planning and communications activity
- In conjunction with the PMO Manager, to manage the governance and record keeping for the relevant programmes within BaSF
- To provide administrative, secretarial and organisational support to the relevant programme and project teams
- To lead on special projects as identified by the programme/project teams providing project planning and management support
- To act as the initial point of contact for communications to the programme/project team at all levels from local stakeholders to external agencies
- To work across the programme/project teams and support all elements of the BaSF change programmes
- Liaise with clinical and non-clinical managers at senior level across the Trust
- From time to time to liaise with senior executives and board members across Trust
- To liaise and work with key third party stakeholders
- Liaise with the communications team in order to ensure programme/project updates/notification are cascaded to the relevant stakeholders in the most effective manner.

EXPERIENCE

- Significant experience of POS in acute NHS setting
- Must have significant experience in providing formal project support in service sector (transformational) programmes
- Display the ability to hit the ground running with the Trusts' PMO processes, practices and principles
- Must be personable, approachable with a sensitive disposition who strives towards establishing working relationships at all organisational levels
- A "Completer/Finishers" who ensures everything is correct/accurate and the things they deliver can be trusted to have been double-checked.
- Must not be a "set-in-stone" practitioner who does everything by the PRINCE2 book
