Project Specialist Job

PROJECT SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in INDIANOLA, PA

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a technical or project coordinator/specialist role (preferably in the medical device industry).

What You'll Be Doing:
- Create and maintain program schedule and milestone trackers.
- Ensure Program Team complies with Product Development Process and utilizes existing tools such as Product Center for version control.
- Work closely with Program Manager on the creation and management of the Design and Development Plan.
- Facilitate Decision Point Review preparation (stage-gate process).
- Assist Program Manager in budgeting and resource planning process.
- Track programs performance of actual vs. budget with regard to resource utilization and expenses.
- Attend all Program Team meetings and log meeting minutes, focus on action item follow-up and closure.
- Create and update project Intranet website.
- Facilitate presentation creation utilizing standard communication tools and methods.
- Utilize standard program metrics and track program progress.
- Create program specific metrics and track performance.
- Define and communicate program critical path.
- Proactively analyze schedule for other potential program issues; for example, resource allocations, cross program impact, slippages, etc.
- Utilize risk management frameworks to identify, prioritize, track and mitigate program risks.
- Act as facilitator to assist in challenging the overall project.
- Utilize PMO toolkit on programs.
- Lead role in transferring products into Lifecycle Engineering.
- Create and deploy project management processes.
- Communicate and integrate continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical field (preferably engineering).
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a technical or project coordinator/specialist role (preferably in the medical device industry).
- Interest in project management and new product development
