A leading financial services organisation has a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Project Scheduler to become a member of their reputable team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in an energetic and highly motivating environment with an employer of choice

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- The role is accountable for project planning, schedule development, schedule management, schedule training and reporting, including related administration activities and support across the Project team.
- The successful candidate will come from a large complex projects background, preferably with financial industry experience. The candidate will be proficient in MS Project (5+ years)
- Overall management of plans in Microsoft Project (working plans)
- Develop a program master plan that incorporates all the project schedules
- Have a critical path established for each project
- Have key milestones set (at latest date required to still meet phase end date)
- Tracking and monitoring of Actuals to Planned & ETC on a regular basis, swift identification of changes and to ensure that any slippage in scheduled milestones is detected and managed as early as possible.
- Advising of potential issues/risks, clashes, opportunities etc. that can be seen in project schedules to ensure forward planning or corrective action can be done and synergies achieved across the Program
- Escalates any issues or risks associated with the schedule to the Project Manager or Coordinator as required.
- Assist Program Leadership Team in delivering information relating to resource estimates/resource planning, and facilitating resource loading and allocation
- Input into reporting (weekly/monthly reporting, SC reporting etc) - this includes update on key deliverables/actions for last period and key deliverables/actions for next period
- Input into continuous improvement re scheduling etc. (including development of scheduling skills in project resources)
- Have good stakeholder management skills to facilitate and influence the flow of critical information from working closely with stakeholders on a regular or ad hoc basis

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project (5+ years)
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
- Inter and Intra schedule dependencies
- Ability to work with Program Leadership Team to assist them in Schedule, Resource & Cost Management
- Scheduling experience essential
- Project Management experience preferred
