Project / Programme Engineer (Ref. RD 3115) Gwent

Contract (3 Months to start / Rolling Contract)

Our client's are a highly successful international manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field supplying their products on every continent. They currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer to take responsibility for the day to day management of customer and internal small to medium size projects

Main Duties
• Maintaining project interface activities with assigned customers
• Ensure project progress as per defined timing, milestones and key deliverables
• Project management and reporting (APQP based)
• Daily interface with senior management team
• Establishing and managing the financial objectives by preparing the programme budget; scheduling and approving expenditures
• Develop and maintain good internal relationships in order to ensure project deliverables are achieved in a timely manner
• Identify project team requirements including necessary resources and skills

Candidate Requirements
• Degree required ideally within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience required within the automotive or aerospace sectors
• Experience of APQP and project management of new product launches
• Strong analytical, negotiation, engineering and project management skills
• Ability to overcome project roadblocks and obstacles and use initiative to find solutions in situations where there may not be clear data or a precedent
