Project Portfolio Management IT Technical Lead

ROLE:
End to End Solution lead for the Electrical Engineering product development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide Electrical Engineering application thought leadership and solution guidance
- No design responsibilities and only be responsible for the deployment and support of the Cadence system
- Partner with Electrical Engineering community to define overall process and application solution sets
- Define short and long term process and application strategies
- Define overall Electrical Engineering application and process architecture and ensure integration efficiencies with other engineering processes and applications
- Partner with Engineering to deploy processes and applications
- Partner with Engineering to support processes and applications
- Requirements gathering and documentation to support application design and test activities
- Application configuration and coding to support the engineering business processes
- Application test creation and documentation of results
- Provides operation support to resolution and escalates incidents based on priority and time frame to senior IT management and senior business customers.
- Maintains communications plan with engineering regarding application roadmaps, the status of problems/incidents, and project plans/status.
- Vendor application relationship management, roadmap influence, and ongoing license optimization and management
- Responsible for the technical aspects of the PPRM solution which includes requirements gathering, designing, development, configuration, coding, code reviews, application installation, performance tuning, code deployment, patch installation and interface development.
- Interact with various groups including business, security and architecture during requirements, design, integration, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
- Deployments and support of code in the various environments (test, quality, production, etc.)
- Develop operational, technical and any other required project documents
- Transfer knowledge to support team

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Engineering design and electrical design applications
- Engineering application selection, configuration, test, deployment and support
- Thorough understanding of Engineering design business processes - from concept to design to release to support to end of life.
- Engineering business facing experience
- Strong communicate skills to effectively with work with engineering business and IT partners
- Team leadership and project management skills
- JDM process and coordination
- Electrical Design processes and tools - Cadence PCB Allegro schematic capture, signal integrity, spice simulation, library development
- PCB Design processes and tools - Cadence PCB Allegro layout, Autorouting, Constraint Manager, Power Integrity; Mentor Valor DFM/DFT/DFA; High Density and High Frequency layout processes. Library development/management and mechanical design integration
- RF Design processes and tools - Agilent ADS RF simulations, cluster GPU hardware environment
- Antenna Design process and tools - CST and Remcom XFDTD antenna simulations and SAR tests, cluster GPU hardware environment
- IC Design process and tools - Cadence Virtuoso mixed signal schematic capture and layout, Cadence Assura verification,
- Cadence Incisive and Synopsys digital design. IC Foundry PDK install and configuration.
- Experience with PPRM tools like Planisware, Planview and CA Clarity a must.
- Hands-on strong experiences in the functional areas of Resource Management, Project Management, Project Accounting and Reporting & Analytics
- Experience with Portfolio Management, Roadmapping and Innovation Management a plus
- Expert level knowledge with minimum of 5 years of PPRM configuration, development experiences in large and complex enterprise environment, interface development, software development, code deployment and patch installation
- Experience working with different types of data sources including Oracle, MS SQL, ODBC, flat file, XML, etc.
- Expertise in PPRM configuration and code development best practices and performance tuning to ensure optimal performance of the application and the interfaces.
- Strong experience with troubleshooting PPRM application and interface performance issues, fine tuning custom code.
- Experience with administration of Servers
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle including change management and version control practices
