Project Planning Lead

Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 10 years + experience in planning and controls on major capital investment projects.
- Previous experience within the PHARMA/BIO INDUSTRY essential
- Previous experience in both project planning and/or operations planning
- Expert knowledge in MS Project, MS Project Server and MS Excel
- Experience with resources management (assignment, availability...etc)
- Third level qualification in a Science/Engineering/Business discipline
- Good understanding of project life cycle from start to finish on multi-disciplined projects is essential

GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: will include (but are not limited to):

- Responsible for coaching internal project leaders in the creation of their project schedules using existing template
- Provide training to project leaders on the new project scheduling guidelines, tool and template
- Work with the resource managers to ensure their requirements (in term of getting visibility to resources assignment and availability across multiple projects) are addressed and help them transition to the new system
- Participate in maintaining individual and overall integrated schedules for key capital projects at the Puurs site
- Monitoring and updating of the Project Baseline schedule (Microsoft Project) and reporting against established baseline, including progress s-curves.
- Liase with all SME's bi-weekly to review progress/identify areas of concern, resource problems etc.
- Chair planning meetings/develop micro schedules and mitigation plans with the teams for specific areas experiencing issues.
- Analysis of critical path and reporting of same to management. Ability to mitigate against project delays.
- Providing monthly project schedule reports to project controls project management and Puurs Program Management
- Obtain buy-in to the schedule from the whole project team and co-ordinate schedule interfaces between the different areas/departments.
