Project Planner

Capita are recruiting for a number of Project Planners to work on a large high profile programme of work within a Central Government department. Based in Sheffield this role will involve regular travel around the North-West and London. This is a contract role for 6 months. Working with MS Project, you will be responsible for working with colleagues across the Programme to build and maintain their Microsoft Project plans. Interpreting planning data to highlight problems and consider mitigation. These plans are very complex and experienced Microsoft Project users are required. Main Duties/ Responsibilities * Produce, update and maintain Programme plans using various methods ensuring the End to End integrated Programme plan remains accurate and up to date. * Maintain activity codes and programme and portfolio planning items such as milestone levels and dependencies, * Provide advice on estimation of tasks * Assure plans, project controls and progress reports * Identify dependencies, assumptions and other controls * As part of a team work with PMO Account Managers and workstream managers to build/maintain plans Skills/ Experience Required * Technical expertise of MS Project (MSP) * Experience of working in a similar role on a large programme * Experience of building and maintaining complex programme plans * Producing reports and analysing data Additional Comments Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo Baseline Security Checks, these are at a cost of £25.
