Project Managment Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Contributes to the project initiation, planning and control for complex components, subsystems or processes.
- Performs complex project planning, identifies critical issues, and drives the project team to resolve gaps and problems.
- May work directly with different business units, suppliers, customers and/or other teams.
- Provides input for staffing and support of programs and creates accurate and detailed schedules.
- Specific work assignment may be as follows: plan and lead program and project planning sessions.
- Functions independently in leading a large diverse program or project planning session.
- Responsibilities also include preparation and pre-work for the session as well as follow up and action ownership.
- Mentors/coaches the leadership team and addresses leadership issues one-on-one with senior divisional and department management.

SKILLS

Job Requirements: Project Management experience with minimum 1 year experience where the primary role was in project planning and scheduling using Critical Path Methodology (CPM) with a Project Scheduling Software Tool (eg, Primavera, MS Project). Must have professional communication skills, both verbal and written and proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint). Must be a self-starter with strong leadership and teamwork skills. Primavera - 1 year continuous experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Highly Desirable Qualifications: Primavera experience, Project Meeting Facilitation in corporate environment, Project cost management experience, Resource loading/portfolio resource management experience. Facilitation experience - desired.
Other Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical Field (IT, Engineering), Primavera Database Administration, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, MS Project experience.
The candidate should have the ability to adapt to diverse business climates. This requires the ability to communicate information in a concise and accurate manner. Decisions made may affect the project team and its delivery of the project. The incumbent must be able to control a planning session, stop any side bar conversations constructively, and keep the team focused on the objectives. This project management position must be able to successfully hand off projects to Project Coordinators. The incumbent must also mentor/train Program Coordinators.
