Project Manager - Water/Trunk Main Assets

PROJECT MANAGER (WATER/TRUNK MAIN ASSETS) - 6 MONTH FTC

LOCATION: DERBY, RAYNESWAY

SALARY: CIRCA £35,000

We are currently recruiting for a PROJECT MANAGER on a fixed term basis till 31st March 2013. This role will deliver the company's water trunk main improvement project which includes the identification of the company's water trunk mains, co-ordination of onsite survey activities of all trunk main assets and co-ordination of the repair of trunk main assets

The PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for:

- Delivering the company's trunk main improvement project
- Project management and project reporting in line with company best practice
- Managing office based project support team and contract field teams undertaking onsite surveyors of trunk main assets.
- Co-ordination of the repair of trunk main assets identified during the trunk main surveys.
- Management and control of project costs
- Driving continuous improvement to deliver the project on time and within budget

The PROJECT MANAGER will have experience of:

Essential

- Management of multi-functional teams - both office and field based teams
- Budget management from £500k+
- Proven track record of effective leadership of people
- Managing contracts and 3rd party suppliers
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels across the business

Desirable

- Knowledge of the Water Distribution network and in particular trunk mains

Qualifications:

- Full UK driving licence and own car required
