Project Manager (Software Development)

We are in need of a strong Sr. Project Manager to join our team for a long term contract in opportunity in the downtown area. You will be responsible for working with the business units and our development teams to determine project scope, requirements, and implementation of software development projects. This person will also have the opportunity to lead and manage a small team including a business analyst and QA analyst.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

- Plan projects in order to accomplish goals within constraints such as time, cost, and agreed quality standards.
- Schedule tasks, deadlines, and milestones for all stakeholders and resources using Gantt charts and providing detailed milestones for all parties.
- Provide overall cost estimates for various project efforts.
- Identify schedule uncertainties and risks and i mplement mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Coordinate designer, engineers, QA, other IT and subject matter experts, vendors, service providers, and personnel to deliver milestones according to the plan.
- Create, maintain, and constantly look to improve development and implementation processes.
- Develop and analyze appropriate project delivery metrics.

Education and/or Experience:

- A Bachelor's degree from a leading 4-year college or university.
- 7 to 10 years experience managing software projects.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Project or an equivalent toolset and have experience with project dashboards.
- Have satisfactory credit.
