Context
Our client designs and develops for a mobility company the EBP systems (Electronic Control Desk). These are complex Real Time computer systems which are being used in signalling-boxes to control and manage the signalling infrastructure.
1.Core function As a software project manager your main responsibility will be to successfully manage sub-projects under the lead of the program manager and the team leader.
Responsible:
*Execute and follow-up the project in accordance with company guidelines.
*Have extensive customer contact in preparation of a project and during the project execution.
*Build up a good relation with the customer.
*Making sure that all the aims/goals of the project are met.
*Making sure the quality standards are met (including safety standards)
*Follow up the project objectives with the program manager and the team leader in order to achieve the project goals.
*Support the contract - and program manager for the input of claim/change.
*Take preventive/corrective actions when needed in order to execute the project within the timeframe and according to the contract.
*Optimize the work processes, set up the work priorities in order to optimize the project.
2.Goal of the mission Software project management for EBP software projects.
3.Mandatory skills
- Must have experience in managing IT projects (size 3 team members or more)
- Must understand how software projects are managed and what kind of peculiarities come with it
- Must be able to manage scope, time, quality, resources, risks and costs.
- Experience with Java/C development on Linux is an asset.
- Experience in the" railway sector" and/or "mobility sector" is an asset.
- Be able to build up a good customer relation.
- Very good communication skills; able to adapt her/his communication depending on the situation not afraid to ventilate her/his ideas within the project organization
- Problem solver within the framework of the contract (Contractual - Guidelines )
- Able to work in a complex environment (from technical and commercial point of view) with exposure to industries of a highly regulated nature.
