Project Manager - Security Compliance and Risk - Government Contract

A Federal Government department is currently in search of a Security Officer/Project Manager to join their team based in Canberra. This role will initially be a 3 month contract with a view to extend until at least 30 June 2013.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of security policies and plan, compliance audits, risk management, incident management and analysis, etc.

The following skills and experience are required:

- Extensive risk management skills and knowledge and demonstrated experience in applying Government policies (PSPF & ISM), standards and procedures.
- Capabilities in conducting compliance audits against policies including the PSPF and ISM.
- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain security documentation, such as information security policy, security risk management plans, system security plans standard operating procedures and security risk assessments, in accordance with Australian Government, Departmental and international standards.
- Demonstrated experience with Australian Government Secure Internet Gateway Environments
- Strong Knowledge of technology including but not limited to Firewall architecture, intrusion detection and prevention systems, Proxy services, VPN IPSEC, email and web content filtering and Network Access Control.
- Windows and UNIX system auditing and analysis of audit logs and monitoring systems including investigation and incident reporting and vulnerability/penetration assessments.
- Excellent communication and documentation production skills.
