Project Manager - - SAP FI/CO

DESCRIPTION

The project manager role is a contractor position related to the implementation of SAP FI/CO solution, including integration between SAP and non-SAP applications. This role will serve as a tactical lead providing assistance to various members of the teams by understanding the business processes and requirements of the FI stakeholders at a depth sufficient to keep stakeholders informed and understanding the SAP architecture and solution. Must have strong Project Management and SAP FI/CO experience. 

The project manager will be responsible for the effective planning, management, and governance of SAP FI/CO project, using industry accepted project management methodologies and supporting tools throughout the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) from conception through implementation. This includes successful prioritization, project launch, execution, deployment, and status reporting initiatives. The project manager will facilitate the management of cross-functional and cross-enterprise dependencies and resources. The PM manages communications regarding issues, risks, and expectations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain master project schedules, which track milestones, critical path tasks, resources, and dependencies for all significant IT initiatives.
- Develop, review, and analyze status, issues, risks, and dependencies;
- Facilitate discussion, drive resolution and suggest escalation actions when appropriate.
- Manage scope and mitigate risk across the project.
- Create project charter, confirm project plan and phasing, establish resource plan, status reporting and risk management  
- Drive issue resolution tracking and resolution
- Oversight for all project activities including functional activities and coordination of business resources to ensure successful on time, on budget implementations.     
- Drive completion of all business readiness activities with help of business team associated with individual implementation roll-out dates.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years' IT project management experience and/or relevant experience
- Consistent record of on-time, on-budget delivery
- Demonstrated experience with various project execution and management methodologies, packaged system implementations, and traditional specification-driven approaches
- Experienced in recognizing areas and symptoms of project risk; must be able to push back on team members about discrepancies, escalate issues and risks, and drive resolutions to ensure transparency in project reporting
- Experience with technical implementation of SAP FI/CO
- Deep project management experience with exposure to program management and ability to manage vendors and key internal stakeholders  
- At least one full life cycle SAP implementation in the FI/CO modules in ECC6.0+.
- At least 5 years of SAP FI/CO experience
- Proven experience with post implementation support in a global environment.
- Solid understanding of the FI/CO integration points with other modules, specifically SD, and MM.

EDUCATION

- Bachelor's degree
- PMI certification required
