PROJECT MANAGER - PHARMA/CLINICAL OPERATIONS
ROLE:
Looking for an experienced professional to successfully manage a global IT project within Pharma Clinical Operations, namely the Integration and Adoption of a Study Site Portal. The position's primary role is to effectively manage objectives, scope, time, quality, resources, costs, risks and change management for the overall project consisting of two solutions with different timelines. The secondary role is to contribute to the deliverables creation (eg project documentation) and depending on the candidate Business Analysis or Solution Architecture activities.
Responsibilities:
- He/She is responsible to develop project charters, comprehensive plans, budgets, success criteria, metrics, status reporting, communications and other deliverables to ensure all success factors have been considered.
- Responsible for proactively managing project towards achievement of business objectives while adhering to agreed scope, time, quality and budget; may manage resources directly to execute project activities
- Responsible to anticipates critical activities and risks, identifies issues and demonstrates initiative to appropriately escalate and resolve
- Responsible for effectively communicating progress, status, dependencies and risk to stakeholders so that necessary corrective actions can be taken to keep project on track
- Demonstrates leadership and communicates in a way that is motivating, optimistic and pragmatic; fosters teamwork, collaboration and action
- Ensure compliance to departmental SDLC, Project Management Methodologies and Computer Systems Validation (CSV) SOPs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 8 plus years' experience in managing a diversity of IT projects preferably implementing projects within Pharma clinical operations
- Ability to manage the project across global locations/time zones and to travel internationally as needed
- Experience deploying CSV and GxP validated systems to a globally distributed stakeholders and end-users preferred
- Proven experience with a variety of techniques for requirements elicitation, analysis and definition (eg functional specifications, business process engineering, data flow diagrams, use case analysis)
- Ability to see the interrelationship of a project across "the big picture" and understand its dependency on other projects in the program as required
- Experience in managing offshore contract resources
- Experience in working with a team based in San Francisco
- Experience in working with vendor(s) for all vendor-owned implementation activities who are working remotely offsite
NICE TO HAVE:
- Responsible to partner with others to develop and implement best practices for project management, development life cycle; maintains templates, guidelines and process documentation
- Be a resource for understanding the necessary steps (eg investment rational, project management, change management, post project evaluation) to go from inception to realization of better business outcomes
EDUCATION: Bachelors or Master's Degree or Equivalent.
LANGUAGES:
- Fluent in English and German would be plus
