Project Manager - Packaging

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering site wide design changes to primary packaging under global corporate programme.
Manage the project in a live manufacturing environment
Responsible for delivering various process/equipment upgrade projects from requirements to handover as part of primary packaging design changes.
Understand the core fundamental issues and develop mitigation plans for all project issues identified while liaising with site and corporate stake holders.
Contractor management is a requirement for this position.
Planning, execution and tracking project progress through all phases and ensuring key deliverables are as per standards
Work on own initiative and highlight potential design issues with proposals.
Awareness of EU Safety Directives and demonstrated use of same on projects.
Awareness of the PED directive and demonstrated use of same on projects.

Key Experience and Skills

Strong experience in project engineering/management
Knowledge of Process Control/Automation Systems is an advantage
Mechanical Engineering background
Experience in budget management
Must have experience of working on packaging equipment within Pharmaceutical industry
Must have a good appreciation for designing systems/processes within a GMP environment.
Must have a thorough understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, industry practices and standards.
Must be able to provide solutions to moderately complex to semi-routine problems.
Must have the ability to recognise deviations from accepted practice as required.
